The deputy Governor of Ekiti state, Mrs Olufunmilayo Adunni Olayinka is dead. She passed away after a battle with cancer. A statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information; Tayo Ekundayo, announced the demise of Mrs Olayinka, late Saturday night.
She is survived by her husband and children as well as aged parents and siblings.

At least they share cloths.
As sisters they're used to swapping and borrowing each other's clothing.
But Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney have somewhat different body types, so an identical outfit doesn't always have the same effect.
Kim, 32, was snapped on Wednesday struggling to contain her ample curves in a low-cut maxi dress, while Kourtney, 33, looked decidedly more elegant in the exact same frock while pregnant with her second child Penelope in 2012.
Kourtney wore the cream Grecian-style dress in June while filming scenes for the family's reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians in San Diego
The reality star, who was eight months' pregnant at the time, looked slender and sophisticated in the frock, which fit her perfectly.
Fast forward nine months, and Kim emerged wearing the same dress when she made a stop for frozen yoghurt in Los Angeles.
Wesley Snipes released from prison after serving three years for tax evasion.

Wesley Snipes was released this week from a Pennsylvania prison and transferred to house arrest after being admitted in 2010 on charges of federal tax evasion.
According to TMZ, the 50-year-old actor left the Mckean Federal Corrections on Tuesday, several months shy of his 36 month sentence.
Snipes is no longer listed as an inmate at the rural facility. He is listed now on the website of the Federal Bureau of Prisons as being under the watchful eye of the New York Community Corrections Office.
Officers will keep a watchful eye on the actor as he finishes out his sentence under home confinement, which the FBP lists as July 19.
The Passenger 57 actor was found guilty of not paying as much as $15 million in dividends to the government for his earnings from 1999 to 2001.
His lawyers argued that his tax advisers, had duped their client with a claim that there were no laws requiring him to pay tax.
And he believed them? Well it's easy to when you hear what you want to hear. A lesson for everyone.
Tanker Accident Claims 50 Lives On Benin-Ore road
The tragedy occurred this afternoon when a diesel tanker and a trailer collided with a fully-loaded commercial luxury bus.
Eye witness accounts say the bus which was travelling from Lagos caught fire and the only three passengers were seen trying to escape the inferno but there are fears that they may not have survived the fire.
Military officials are reported to be controlling traffic in the area while fire service men are yet to arrive the scene.

Imagine a factory where the employees are regularly being starved.
Some are so desperate with hunger that they pick up tissues from the floor and stuff them into their mouths, while a few become so weak that they have to be admitted to hospital and put on a drip. Any industry which treated workers so badly would be targeted by undercover reporters. Photographs of emaciated workers would cause an outcry, questions would be asked in parliament and the factory would be closed down. This would happen anywhere in the developed world with one glaring exception, and that’s thefashion industry.
“You know how you read interviews where models insist that they eat a lot? Not true,” says Kirstie Clements, who edited Vogue Australia for 13 years. “The only way they can get that thin is to stop eating. They eat tissue paper to stave off the hunger pangs – literally ball it up and eat it.” It’s one of several startling claims in The Vogue Factor, a book that Clements has written about the industry she knows from the inside, and it’s not even the most shocking.
Clements lifts the lid on the existence of “fit” models, the women used to check the fit of clothes who are expected to be even thinner than the catwalk variety. “Fit” in this instance means just the opposite, as Clements discovered when she asked a top model how she was getting on with her flatmate. “Oh, it’s fine,” was the insouciant reply, “she’s a fit model so she is mostly in hospital on a drip.”
By any normal standards, someone whose job puts them in hospital most of the time is: (a) deluded; and (b) abused. But the fashion industry departed from normal standards years ago, not even bothering to hide the damage it inflicts mostly (but not exclusively) on young women. It’s paraded on catwalks and in fashion spreads for anyone to see, evident in models whose jutting hipbones and stick limbs suggest they’re suffering from malnutrition. When flipping through a glossy magazine a couple of days ago, I was mesmerised by a perfume ad featuring two models whose naked bodies were as skinny as saplings.
Clements recalls a fashion shoot which lasted for three days yet she didn’t see the model eat once, even when the girl got so weak that she could hardly stand or open her eyes. Everyone involved in the fashion industry is expected to buy into a fantasy in which there’s nothing unusual about being five foot nine and weighing 45 kilos. But the death toll on the international modelling circuit – Ana Carolina Reston, Luisel Ramos and her sister Eliana, Isabelle Caro – tells a different story. Fashion isn’t worth dying for, so let’s start applying the normal health and safety standards to this sick industry

Expecting a boy with fiance Olivier Martinez
Halle Berry is pregnant with her second child and this is according to TMZ. The 46-year-old Oscar-winning actress and her French fiance Olivier Martinez are having their first child together.
The pair already share partial custody of Helle's five-year-old Nahia, whom she had with former boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
Some people are just blessed, even at 46 she can still get pregnant. She is able to put child bearing on hold to concentrate on her career and still come back to have it. wow.
Not all women are this lucky though.

As part of a new adidas campaign to launch the club's new strip, the Blues players took part in a special promotion.
As these pictures show, the players were transformed into what looked like lost extras from the Blue Man Group.
Terry, Torres and Luiz were joined by team-mates Juan Mata, Demba Ba, Eden Hazard, Oscar, Gary Cahill and goalkeeper Petr Cech.
And the Chelsea men appeared more than happy to be covered from head to toe in the club's colours.

Tottenham Hotspur were held to a 2 - 2 draw in the Europa League Thursday night and hence Andre Villas-Boas hopes of lifting the cup for a second time hangs in the balance, thanks largely to a woeful defensive performance and a serious-looking injury to Gareth Bale.
Basle lived up to their name as giant-killers after last year's defeat of Manchester United and Bayern Munich. They scored two impressive away goals.
Emmanuel Adebayor's fifth goal of the season and Gylfi Sigurdsson's second-half effort brought the scores level after Spurs had gone down 2 nil.
The two away goals leave Villas-Boas' men in serious danger of exiting the competition at the quarter-final stages.

Torres scores twice
Chelsea beats Rubin Kazan at Stamford Bridge with Fernando Torres scoring twice. Torres wore a mask to protect a broken nose. He opened the scoring in the first half before Victor Moses double Chelsea's lead.
John Terry handed the Russian side a penalty when he handed the ball in the second half and Bebras Natcho gentle put the ball pass Chelsea keeper to halve the deficit.
Torres then rose highest to give Rafa Benitez's side some breathing space heading into next week's second leg.

Rape has become endemic in South Africa, so a medical technician named Sonette Ehlers developed a product that immediately gathered national attention there. Ehlers had never forgotten a rape victim telling her forlornly, "If only I had teeth down there". Some time afterward, a man came into the hospital where Ehlers works in excruciating pain because his penis was stuck in his pants zipper.
Ehlers merged those images and came up with a product she called Rapex. It resembles a tube, with barbs inside. The woman inserts it like a tampon, with an applicator, any man who tries to rape the woman impales himself on the barbs and must go to an emergency room to have the Rapex removed.
When critics complained that it was a medieval punishment, Ehlers replied tersely, "A medieval device for a medieval deed."

It's official ... Lindsay Lohan can no longer contain herself after partying her face off in Brazil.
The 26-year-old actress ditched her trusty bra Saturday for a helicopter ride in Florianopolis ... after partying all night in Sao Paulo. She's been on the Brazil nightclub train ever since she flew south of the equator to promote some jean company last week, and she's obviously having support issues.

Male bowel cancer on the increase, says Cancer Research
A cancer Research in the UK study has said that, the rate in Bowel cancer for men has increase by 29% over the last 35 years as against just 6% for women.
The good news however is that, bowel cancer survival rates are improving with half of all patients living for at least 10 years after being diagnosed.
It is not yet known why there should be such a large difference in the increase in rates between men and women.
Rising rates of bowel cancer may be linked to obesity and diets high in red and processed meat and low in fibre, as well as the increasing age of the population.
It is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK after lung cancer.
The age group with the biggest rise is those in their 60s and 70s, who experience 23,000 new cases yearly the report said.
If we eat healthy now, at our 60s and 70s, we would have less chance of having to deal with this.

Ba on target as Chelsea dumps Manchester United out of FA cup replay.
Chelsea has once again ended the dream of Manchester United hopes of an FA Cup and a possible first double since 2004.
A spectacular strike from Demba Ba 4 minutes into the second half from a Juan Mata pass was all that Chelsea needed to secure a quarter-final replay victory at Stamford Bridge.
In the 61st minute, Petr Cech made a stunning save from Javier Harnandez header. It was a save that could be considered as one of the saves of the season.
With this victory, Chelsea will now meet another Manchester team in the semi-final, Manchester City.
Asley Cole suffered a hamstring injury in the 22 minute and was substituted, he is likely to be out for atleast 2 weeks.
Chelsea is the defending champions.
