PDP congratulate Wrong Emir of Kano – Said AIT misled them.

I guess it not easy to differential the names, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero. Because the close similarity of these names has just lead PDP to congratulate the wrong Emir.

We got it wrong congratulating The Wrong Emir of Kano, they said. AIT Misled Us.

Our attention has been drawn to an unauthorized statement issued on behalf of the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP by his Special Assistant, Mr. Richard Ihediwa, congratulating the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano.

Mr. Ihediwa relied on a false news flash on AIT and issued a statement in that direction without approval from the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh.

This is completely embarrassing to the National Publicity Secretary and the entire leadership of the PDP.

We hereby dissociate with the statement earlier issued and regret the embarrassment this may have cause the entire nation, the Kano Emirate and the good people of Kano State.

My Take:

Please don’t blame the Mr. Ihediwa too much but are you sure that was not the actual name the Kano State Governor really wanted to announce, because this name makes more sense than the other name been named the New Emir. Well, we’ll see.
