Folashade Tinubu Ojo, the first
daughter of former Lagos State governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has been crowned
the new Iyaloja of Lagos State and the President General of the Market Men and
Women of Nigeria.
The installation took place today
at the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu.
Her
appointment in July 2013, was witnessed and endorsed by market leaders of all
the 57 local governments in Lagos State but it was however trailed with
controversies and condemnation.
Bola Tinubu’s
mother, Abibat Mogaji held the position before she passed away recently and
appointed her as successor.
But wait a
minute, is the seat now permanently customized for Tinubu's family? Good
