Expelled CBN Governor, Malam Sanusi named New Emir of Kano - Is this right?

This afternoon, the Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso announced that the expelled Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is the New Emir of Kano.

He was said to have been edged by four kingsmakers from the Kano Emirate.
Congrats to him.

My take:
But I decided to ask my friends what was the criteral for choosing Sanusi as the new Emir. I asked if it was influence, age or money. Because I don’t just understand how he emerged as the new Emir. A friend left a comment saying “Royalty”.

Well am glad he is from a royal family, like I replied to my friend, I have been living in the moon for some time now so I didn’t know that.

But still, it just doesn’t feel and taste right, am sure the Kano people will not sit well with this decision. No way.
