A member of the House of Representatives, Ibrahim El-Sudi, has revealed that the Constitution Amendment committee of the House has proposed the need for the Nigeria Police Force to be renamed Nigeria Police, as part of its recommendation. The lawmaker explained that by virtue of the Armed Forces Act, “we have the Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Air Force; therefore, we should have the Nigerian Police rather than the Nigerian Police Force.”
