Celtic finally beat Barcelona 2 -1

Champions League

Celtic celebrated their 125th anniversary this week in style when they beat Barcelona 2-1 with goals from Victor Wanyama and 18-year old Tony Watt in Parkhead.

Wanyama caused the stadium to erupted when he out-jumped left back Jordi Alba to power the ball past a flapping Victor Valdes after 21 minutes.

Barcelona as expected pressed and pressed, but late in the game Xavi made a mistake to allow Watt through on Valdes's goal. The teenager made no mistake, kept his cool and slotted past the Catalan goalkeeper before Lionel Messi set up a grandstand finish by scoring in the 90th minutes.
