Is the referee a racist? Who is telling the truth?

Who really is telling the truth? Was the accent of the referee mistaken for a racist remark? Did he actually called Mikel a 'monkey' or said 'shut up Mikel'?

Does Chelsea really have a case as the events that unfolded at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening have created an unprecedented fissure in the English game, with a football club and match officials at loggerheads over alleged racist language.

There are up to 20 cameras used for live broadcast of the matches but not all of them are 'on record'. Sky's match director chooses the best shot, as witnessed the razor-sharp cut to Mikel being booked in the 76th minute.

But the footage of the incident broadcast on Sky shows the back of the referee as he raises a yellow card. Mikel is obviousely unhappy, but his reaction appears to be that of a man who has been booked rather than that of the victim of a racial slur.

But why did Mikel and Chelsea's officials confronted the referee in his changing room to demand for an apology? and why was Mikel so upset he was held back by Chelsea's officials.

Something truly happened, something sad could have been said, but all we can hope for now is that, it's sorted out on time, so that football can take the center place and not this, and also make sure this doesn't happen again.

Enough is enough.
