The
Nigerian mother of the triplets whose husband ran away when the news
of the birth reached him last week has received assistance from her
home state, the Ogun State government.
Responding
to many calls from the people and good Samaritans, government has
facilitated the opening of a bank account for the woman to enable
those who want to assist the woman and her children do so.

The
state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs
Elizabeth Sokunbi had led the government delegates to visit
the Afojupa village house of the mother of the babies in
Owode-Egba in Obafemi/ Owode local government area of Ogun State
with the traditional ruler of Owode, Oba Kolawole Sowemimo.
The
state government donated clothing materials, babies’ needs as well
as cash.
Mrs.
Akapo, expressed appreciation for the government gesture and also
thanked the traditional ruler for his priceless support before and
after she gave birth to the triplets.
