Basle 1 Chelsea 2: Luiz scores with last kick of the match

Chelsea have one leg in the final of the Europa final after they defected Swiss side Basle away in the first leg of the Europa Semi-final.
Chelsea lead in the first half through a header from Victor Moses but were again guilty of squandering chances which might have killed the tie.

After the phantom 45 seconds which had so angered Rafa Benitez at Liverpool, there were four minutes of added time sent to soothe the scars of Anfield. Talk of precision timing. In Switzerland, we have come to expect nothing less.

David Luiz stepped up to fire a free-kick into the Basle net and give Chelsea a clear advantage in his Europa League, there was not even time to restart the game.

This was after Chelsea had given away a very soft penalty to the Swiss side to level the score 1-1 at the 86th minute.
