Kriss Kross Rapper dead at 34

Kri Kross star Chris 'Mac Daddy' Kelly has died aged 34.

The Jump rapper - who found fame in the 90s as one half of the hip-hop duo - was found unconscious in his Atlanta home yesterday, before being pronounced dead by the Fulton County Medical Examiner Office.

Investigator Betty Honey said an autopsy would now be carried out to determine the cause of death but Billboard is reporting a "possible drug overdose."

Chris and bandmate Chris Smith - known as Daddy Mac - had a huge hit with the song Jump in 1992 after being discovered in an Atlanta shopping mall by music mogul Jermaine Dupri.
Their debut album, Totally Krossed Out, went platinum and they joined Michael Jackson on his Dangerous World Tour, as well as appearing in his 'Jam' music video.

Kriss Kross went on to record two more albums, Da Bomb, in 1993 and Young, Rich and Dangerous three years later. Their singles Warm it Up, Alright and Tonite's tha Night also topped the US rap charts.

The duo - whose trademark look was baggy clothes worn backwards - reunited for the first time in years in February to perform at the 20th anniversary bash for Jermaine's So So Def Record label.
LL Cool J led tributes, dedicating his new song Jump On It to the rapper, who was studying to become a musical engineer.

He posted: R.I.P Chris Kelly. This song is now officially dedicated to you. May GOD embrace your soul and lift up your family."
R&B star Monica wrote: "Chris Kelly, may the peace of God comfort your family & all of those who love u."

A real sad loss. R.I.P
