Mass wedding

forty seven indians brides and groom get hitched




The 47 Muslims brides, all wearing peach saris with a convering veil were wedded off to their grooms, who were dressed in traditional outfit in India.




The ritual, which is known as the 'Nikah Kabool Hai' or 'Do You Agree for the Marriage' signified the bride's agreement to the wedding in front of a relative.




Mass weddings in India are quite common - giving poor people a good ceremony or held on a an auspicious date of the year.
