SHOPPING MALL COLLASPES IN GHANA, 3 KILLED, DOZEN TRAPPED


Its been reported that a six-storey shopping mall has collasped in the Ghanaian capital of Accra on Wednesday, with at least three people confirmed dead so far and a dozen others feared trapped, sparking desperate rescue effort.



Over 50 employees were reported to be in the building as at the time it collasped according to the police. It is not clear if customers were also inside, with one worker saying the mall had yet to be open.









President John Dramani Mahama has suspended his campaign ahead of the December 7 elections and offered prayers for those trapped.

Thousands have thronged the site, including family members in search of there love ones and relatives.

Three people have already been confirmed dead, Assistant Police Superintendent Freeman Tettey told journalist.

So sad.

I just hope help can get to those trapped on time.
