Progressive Congress, APC candidate, Governor Aregbesola has won the
governorship election held on Saturday. Vice Chancellor of the
Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, who is also the returning
office for INEC in the state, Professor Bamitale Omole, said,
Aregbesola won the poll in 22 LGA while Senator Iyiola Omisore of the
Peoples Democratic Party could only win in 8 councils in the state.
