We
have constantly been told that the Ebola Virus is not spread through
the air but through contacts, but I am beginning to believe either
this isn't true or the medical experts don't truly know the full
extend of how the virus is spread.
The
two Americans brought back home for treatment for the disease were
brought home fully covered and strapped from head to toe. And even
those who met with them wore full gear, covering their even their noses too.
Why
is this so?
Is
there something we are not been told about how the Ebola virus is
spreading?
Doctor
Brantly wore complete coverings everytime he went into attend to an
Ebola victim in Liberia and yet he contacted the virus, how did this
happen?
The
same with Writebol, she did not have any physical contact with any of
the Ebola patient and yet she too contacted the virus.
Some
of the passengers on the flight where the first victim and hopefully
the only one of the Ebola case in Nigeria was reported did not have
any physical contact with the Liberian man, Patrick Sawyer and yet
there are fears that some of them, with one confirmed have the Ebola
virus. How did they got infected when they never physically made contact
with the victim.
This
is my question: is the Ebola virus contacted through the air, or through
saliva when conversing with a sufferer? Because, that is the only thing that makes any sense to me.
If yes, then it would be
wise for the medical experts to tell Nigerians especially Lagosians the truth and advise them
to wear protective nose gear when conversing with each other. It may look crazy and make everyone a suspect but it would surely safe lives.
Anything
less would be deception.
