Beleaguered singer Chris Brown has cancelled four concerts in Canada due to 'health-related issues.'

The 24-year-old singer was set to headline the Energy Rush festival in Halifax, Toronto, Saint John and Winnipeg, but promoters have now been forced to axe the shows - and the entire festival.

In a statement released on Monday to Bang, Drop Entertainment Group, who were behind the festivals said: 'After ongoing conversation and consultation with this year's headline act, Chris Brown, and in light of the performer's recent personal and health-related issues, a decision has been made to cancel all four scheduled performances.'

Energy Rush festival was unable to continue without a headline act and has had to postpone the event until next year.
The news comes after Chris had to be hospitalised last month following a non-epileptic seizure at Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood.

His representatives blamed the seizure on his intense fatigue and 'extreme emotional stress' in relation to his recent legal troubles following an alleged hit and run incident in May, which he was cleared of last week.

However Chris' probation  for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna was only reinstated on the condition he complete a further 1,000 hours of community service.
