Chelsea signs Cameroonian Eto’o from Anzhi

Chelsea has signed Samuel Eto’o on a one year deal making him coach Jose Mourinho sixth summer signing, with the club abandoning their pursuit of Wayne Rooney.

Eto’o who earned a record €300,000 (£167,825) a week when he moved to Anzhi said he is delighted to be reunited with the Chelsea boss.

“It wasn’t a hard decision. I saw the qualities Chelsea have, and I was very happy with Jose Mourinho before, so when the opportunity came, I was very happy to take it.”

Eto will be reuniting with his former team mate at Anzhi, Willian who was signed just last week

I believe it’s a wonderful move for both Chelsea and Eto. He still has some football years inside him with loads of experiences.
