Born Kefee Obareki, the
singer popularly known as just “kefee” has been buried.
Kefee died last month in the
United States after collapsing on a 14-hour flight to Chicago for a
performance. The cause of her ill-health was initially reported as
pregnancy-induced high blood pressure but it was later confirmed as “lung
failure” by her UK-based manager, Adeline Adelicious Adebayo.
Kefee went into a coma of
which she never came out of.
She was laid to rest today (June
12, 2014) in Sapele amidst tears after a short service which was attended by
her husband and members of her extended family.
Eyewitnesses said her
siblings were inconsolable when her body was about to be conferred to mother earth.
