Northern Alternative Forum (NAF) Endorses President Goodluck Jonathan for 2015

In a statement issued in Abuja by the Chairman of the Northern Alternative Forum (NAF), Alhaji Gidado Ibrahim, said the group has decided to endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2015 Presidential Election based on his achievements in office since 2011.

Alhaji Gidalo Ibrahim said his group aligns with the President's transformation agenda and the success recorded so far.

“The Northern Alternative Forum wishes to use this medium to congratulate President Goodluck Jonathan on the giant strides recorded by his administration in the past three years and to encourage him not to be distracted.

“I wish to state clearly that NAF, a pressure group, completely aligns with the transformation agenda of the present administration which is transforming different sectors of the economy such as health, aviation, road infrastructure, railway, agriculture, power and many others.

“It is against this backdrop that we wish to declare our support for President Jonathan in the 2015 election if he so wishes to contest.

“Infact we endorse Mr President for 2015; we want him to continue with the good works beyond 2015 and we are prepared to work for him to actualise this goal.

“Our support for Mr President is not based on any primordial sentiments but on concrete evidences of achievements recorded in different sectors of the economy which has been made manifest in the recent rebasing of the economy and Nigeria’s new status as Africa’s biggest economy.”
