has won the 2014 World Cup after an extra time goal by substitute Mario Gotze
gave the 3 times World Cup Champions their 4th World Cup trophy with a well
taken goal in the second half of the extra time.
It
was the first goal Argentina was conceding in an extra time in any world
cup.
And
it was the first time a European country was winning the world cup in South America soil.

Lineker had said, football is a simple game. 22 men pursue a single ball around
a pitch for 120 minutes and then the Germans Wins.
He was right.
