Al Ahly of Egypt beat Sunshine Stars of Nigeria

Sunshine Stars of Nigeria were last night far away in Egypt sent packing from the CAF Champions League Final by Al Ahly on a 4-3 goals aggregate in the second leg of the semi-finals.

The winning and only goal in the second leg came via a deflected shot pass goalkeeper Moses Ocheje after 28 minutes at the empty June 30 stadium.

Sunshine stars had held the record six-times African champions to a 3-3 draw in the first leg in Nigeria two weeks ago.

Al Ahly will now face bitter rivals Esperance of Tunisia over two legs during November, with the Egyptians having home advantage first.

We all knew that, after that 3-3 home draw in Nigeria, Sunshine Stars had an uphill task to accomplish that looked very much like 'mission impossible' and so it was.

Never-the-less, they tried to have gotten to this stage of the tournament. Well done guys.
