Novak Djokovic fights back to win Shanghai Masters

Frustration rolled over as both Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic threw everything they had at each other in Sunday's final of the Shanghai Masters. Even their rackets, one violently smashed by each player, were sacrificed in the course of another thrilling encounter that was not far from the equal of their epic at Flushing Meadows last month that saw Murray break his Grand Slam duck.
Andy who has won this event in the last two years, won the first set 7-5 and was serving for the match in the second set at 5-4. But having saved his first match point, Djokovic levelled the set and then saved four more match points in a tie-break lasting more than 20 minutes, sealing the set with a volley that led to fist-pumping celebrations.

With the momentum now in his favour, Djokovic broke to go 4-3 up in the decider and broke Murray again in the ninth game when the Scot went long with a backhand. It ended Murray's winning run in Shanghai and gave Djokovic his fifth title of the year.
