The Planes That Missiles Can Hit And Even The US Don't Have Them - Israeli National Carrier El Al

While US air carriers were not able to fly to Tel Aviv Israel, because of the ban placed on them by the FAA due to the threat from rocket attacks from Hamas, an Israel airline has been flying home without any hesitation. Thanks to being one of the only airplanes in the world boasting high-tech anti-missile defenses.

El Al, is the national airline of Israel and since an incident in the mid-2000s when an attack on an Israeli chartered aircraft in late 2002 in Mombasa, Kenya, where two shoulder-fired rockets narrowly missed their target, El Al and other Israeli airlines have been preparing for a repeat ever since. They have since been reportedly equipped with some form of anti-missile tech.

After the FAA canceled American Carriers from flying to Israel, El Al issued a statement saying;
In light of flight cancellations to Israel by foreign air carriers we would like to inform you that El Al, as always, will continue to fly from and to Israel,” the El Al wrote on its website. “The company will continue to keep Israel’s skies open, and will be at your service any time.” The company said it’s also adding flights “to accommodate stranded passengers.”

Even former New York City Mayor Michael Bloombery flew from NYC to Tel Aviv on an El Al flight to prove it was safe to fly to Israel.

After the failed attack on the national carrier, El Al turned to Flight Guard, a combination of several technologies reportedly including early warning systems and flares designed to confuse any heat seeking missiles. The use of flares was controversial, with some European airports purportedly concerned that the flares, if fired, could cause damage below.

Israeli newspaper have since reported that Israeli defense officials felt those concerns were a ''misunderstanding''

Israel's News media reported that the new system cost $1 million per plane and will be installed on several Israeli airlines, including El Al, that fly ''sensitive routes''

Sometimes, adversities makes you a better person, especially if handled well. Israel knows they are surrounded by enemies and so they have become prepared for the worst from their neigbours.

Can't Nigeria be prepared for uncertainties, do we always have to wait for bad things to happen before we set plans in motion to avoiding it? How come we plan for emergencies in private business but when it comes to government business, we always leave it to chance. It sounds down right funny and to be sincere, fraudulent.

It just tells me that majority of Nigerians see Government as a place to go and take/steal money without anyone been able to apprehend them.
The punishment for crimes committed in private businesses is far more severe than for those committed in the public sectors, in fact people who steal public funds in Nigeria are celebrated.

Until the punishment for public fraud, which I believe is a bigger crime than private fraud, since the money belongs to all; the rich and the poor, and the services benefits the poor more than the rich, being that the rich can afford these service at whatever price, the punishment should be more severe with jail time. Nothing will work unless this is done.

I have always loved Israel but now I love them even more.
