I
come from a line of military men. My father was a Navy officer who
fought for Nigeria during the civil war and my brother was also a
military officer, I also have friends in the military and often now, I
see them changing their ''DP'' on their Blackberry from one picture of a dead officer killed in the war against terrorism to another.
Young Nigerian military officers just out from the
Military Academy thrown into the toughest part of Nigerian to defend
our country against fellow Nigerians who are been sponsored by other
Nigerians to kill Nigerians using Nigeria's money after been elected
by Nigerians to serve in Nigeria's law making body and the government, I
wept every single time.
Nigeria
is losing its best brains to a useless war that the government should
handle without political concerns and do what is necessary to end it.
Too many innocent lives have been lost and more still to come. God
help us.
Read
below the story of one of such young Nigerian military officer who
was killed just some few days to his wedding.

soldiers killed in operation as Insurgents ambushed Nigerian troops
during a patrol to dislodge insurgents around Delwa, Borno State.

invitation. He was buried on Thursday July 17th.

Another Commenter on a Leading Blog also posted this “Chei!! I actually saw this guy (Lt. Kyom Leo) last year in picture on General Onwuamaegbu’s FB wall. The General was visiting Sandhurst Military Academy and this guy (Lt. Kyom Leo) was one of the Cadets training there. The General even remarked that this guy would one day make a fine officer. What a waste!”
“RIP Gentleman Officer! RIP Lieutenant S Kyom Leo of 58 Regular Course! You died as a Hero! Doing what we have signed for! To serve whenever the clarion calls and whatever the price or odds!”
The Story of Lt. Kyom Leo, a deeply Religious and Courageous Soldier whose steadfast belief in the Country for which he paid the Ultimate price will continue to inspire the Nigerian Military to protect our Territorial Integrity and rid Nigeria of all forms of Insurgency and Aggression.
