Is This Really The First Made-In-Nigerian Car?

The newly appointed Executive Director/CEO of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Segun Awolowo, grand-son to the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo shared some photos on his instagram page of a car made in Nigeria.

It was claimed that the SUV was manufactured by INNOSON in Nigeria.

It would however be recalled that some months back, President Goodluck Jonathan had driven one of the first set of locally manufactured vehicle by Nissan which were made in the Badagry plant of the company, making the president the first person to drive a locally manufactured vehicle in Nigeria. It was also an SUV.

We are definitely getting there. Well done Sir. Time to patronize the Nigerian brand.
