AC Milan to tempt Chelsea with January bid for Ashley Cole

Ashley Cole may be on his way out of Chelsea with fellow team mate Frank Lampard. Chelsea has refused to offer them more than a take-it or-leave it 12 month deal. They could both still leave on free transfer in the summer when their current contract expires.

Milan are desperate to get a new left-back after starting the new Serie A season in disappointing form and could make a move for Cole as early as January rather than wait to secure his services on a free transfer come June.

Frank Lampard is already been tempted by two clubs in China, one of them offering a 1-Million-pound-per-month deal and could reunite with former team mates Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka.
