Remember the Ryder Cup.

Well if you don't let me refresh your memory. After the first two days of play, the Americans, who were playing at home were leading their Europeans counterparts by a score of 10-6 going into the final day. The final day pairings was for the single event. All the Americans needed was to win 4 single games and half (draw) one, which would have given them the winning score of 14 and a half. Only one problem, the Europeans didn't read the script and won 8 of the 12 single matches and half the last one to take an outright win over the Americans of 14 and a half to retain the cup. It was the comeback of one of the greatest proportion not just in the world of golf but the sporting world. Tiger woods one of the players for the Americans who did not win any of his matches has revealed that, he personally apologised to all the 4 rookies for not adding any points to the Amercan team. Actually he contributed a half point but that didn't do much to the overall score of the team not after lossing 2 matches with his partnership with Stricker.

Tiger Woods plays world number one and part of the European team member that defected him in the Ryder cup, Rory McIlroy in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final this week. Its an eight-man event which features a total purse of 3.2 million pounds, with 935,000 pounds to the winner (my son must play golf too oh, how many sports will he play now, football and golf, ok) and 620,000 pounds for the runner-up and even 187,000 pounds for 7th and eight. (Even for coming last you earn over 46.75million Naira. God. na wah)

Other player involved in the tournament are: Charl Schwartzel, Matt Kuchar, Less Westwood, Justin Rose, Hunter Mahan and Webb Simpson.
