MANCHESTER CITY NEEDS A MIRACLE

AS REAL MADRID LOSES

Real Madrid lost 2-1 in their Champions League match away to Borussia Dortmund. While the result takes Dormund to the top of the group ahead of Jose Mourinho's men, it leaves City's hope of qualifying for the last 16 hanging by a thread.

City also failed to make it through to the knockout stages last year.

Goals from Robert Lewandowski in the 36th minute and Marcel Schmelzer in the 64th minutes helped Dormund overcome Madrid, although Cristiano Ronaldo did cancelled out the first goal in the 38th.

Malaga also extended their lead at the top of Group C to three points as they beat AC Milan 1-0, the only goal came from Joaquin in the 64th minute from a through-ball by Mauel Iturra.
