Is PORN gradually crippling into NOLLYWOOD or is it already OFFICIALIZED?

Punch Newspaper has this to say of Tony Umez.
It reported that Tony who has featured in over 200 English and Yoruba movies was recently featured in a porn movie; Room 027.

According to a fan who may have watched the movie, Tony Umez is a disappointment to his fans.
Another fan, who obviously have watched the porn said, “Tony Umez and his colleagues must be really broke to take on this film. It is an absolute disgrace. By the way, who is this unknown desperate wannabe actress?”

So I asked the Q?, has Nollywood officially permitted porn movies into the industry and has the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation officially licensed porn movies to be made in Nigeria?

There is nothing good about Porn. In Western Countries, they are looking for ways to ban it and here, we are opening new avenues to promoting it? Common, something is wrong.

Porn is addictive. It doesn't choose who it imprisons, whether a married man, a young single man or even a child and yes, even ladies get addicted to it too.
It has been banned in most public sites on the internet and even YOUTUBE have completely removed all porn or nude movies from their site.

As the producers of these porn movies face stiff restrictions and possible ban in Europe and America, they are looking for new outlet to shoot and promote their films and it seems they have found it in Nollywood. They can’t try this in Bollywood.

The Nigerian Film and Broadcasting Corporations should please see to it that even if porn is officially licensed in Nigeria, it is properly regulated. There should be constant check for STDs by the actors involved and other measures put in-place.

Sadly, due to the absence of proper regulations, these films will surely find itself into the hands of our secondary school boys and girls as all Nigerian Home videos do. What a shame indeed.
