Nigeria Super Eagles beat Burkina Faso in world cup friendly

Many Nigerians may not have been award but the Nigerian Super Eagles like most teams in the world used the International friendly day to host one of the 10 African Qualifiers; Burkina Faso.

The match which was played in the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Tuesday recorded a resounding 4-1 victory over the Stallions of Burkina Faso.

Brown Ideye got Nigeria on their way to the win in the 17th minute after Obinna Nsofor’s through ball caused panic in the visitors defence.

Another goal from Brown Ideye, (42min)  making it a brace for him in the match and forward goals from  Shola Ameobi (53min) and Emmanuel Amenike (63min) made it four. Saidou Simpore scored a consolation goal for Burkina Faso in the 76min.

If the Super Eagles keep playing like this, the world cup ticket is a sure bet.

Kudos to Stephen Keshi and the boys.
