Kanye West gets $3million for performing at wedding of Kazakh dictator's grandson

Kanye is reported by TMZ to have performed a selection of his hits including Can't Tell Me Nothing in a wedding ceremony in Kazakhstan.
It said West found himself embroiled in controversy after he raked in a reported $3M to perform at the wedding of favourite grandson of Kazakh dictator Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The problem however is President Nazarbayev, who is reportedly worth billions, is a controversial figure and has been at the centre of claims of violating human rights and corruption.

Singer Sting previously refused a similar invitation because of his record on human rights.

Nazarbayev - widely criticised for human rights abuses and rigging elections - employs Tony Blair as an advisor in an £8 million a year consultancy deal.

Should Kanye be held politically accountable for using his talent and should artistes become embroiled in political maneuvering?  FIFA isn't.
