3 killed in another Jos bomb attack

At least three people have been confirmed dead and three injured as another bomb explosion ripped through a football viewing centre in Jos, Plateau State. Reports claim that the bomb explosion took place on Bauchi road in Jos.
On 20 May, two explosions at the Terminus Market killed 118 people in Jos with over 100 injured in the blast.
Residents told PM News that the explosion occurred along Bauchi Road near the University of Jos, Jos North Local Government Area.

“There has been an explosion in Jos,” Manzo Ezekiel, spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), told AFP but said it was not clear what caused the blast nor if there were casualties.
Pam Ayuba, spokesman for the Plateau state governor Jonah Jang, said the blast happened on Bauchi Road at about 9:30 pm (2030 GMT).
The blast was targeted at football fans watching the European Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

“So far we have three dead, three injured,” Chris Olakpe, the commissioner of police for Plateau state, told AFP.
Olakpe added that one of the victims was “consumed by his IED (improvised explosive device)” which “exploded before the viewing centre” but declined to confirm reports that it was an attempted suicide attack.

Another senseless attack on innocent Nigerians just watching the beautiful game. So sad.
