This is without doubt, one of the strangest things I have seen for a long time. A family in Brazil is rooting for Brazil to win their 6th World Cup title and you wouldn’t guess why they are doing so. Wait for it?
They
all have 6 fingers. Yes you heard me right; their's a 6-fingered Family. Not one,
not two but all the members of the family have 6-fingers.
All
the members of the Silva family were born with an extra digit on each hand as a
result of a genetic condition known as Polydactyly. Also known as hyperdactyly, is a congenital physical anomaly in humans, dogs and cats
having supernumerary fingers or toes. Polydactyly is the opposite of
oligadactyly (fewer fingers or toes)
But
rather than recoil in the face of constant stares by curious onlookers, the 14
members of the family spanning four generations seem to embrace their physical
difference with pride.
So
they are counting on the fingers of a single hand in hopes for Brazil to win a
sixth World Cup championship.
I wouldn't count them out, with six fingers. Whao! One can only imagine how they would do playing a guitar or piano.
