6 Nigerians Arrested for Forgery in Ghana – Oluwole Tinz

For allegedly forging letterheads of the Office of the President of Ghana, John Mahama and other state institutions with intent to defraud people, Six Nigerians have been arrested.

They are Paul Kelvin, 20; Wallace Darden Odon, 28’ Prince Ejimi, 19; Osamidiamwen Ikecheku Emeka, 24; Adebayo Alaba Saheed, 21; and Charles Chinedu, 32. They are all said to be unemployed.

They have all been charged with forging documents and signatures, posing as state officials and because they gave false names to the police during interrogations, they have now also been charged with deceit of public officers.

Ghana’s Daily Graphic, quoting the Accra Regional Crime Officer, Chief Superintendent of Police Mr. Paul Kontomah, reports that the suspects were arrested in a house at Ayensu Estate, near Adenta in Accra, on 9th of June, 2014.

Among the letters retrieved from the suspects was one directing a former Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to take his compulsory leave for Mr Mohammed Alhassan, the current IGP, to take over the position.

Oluwole Boyz have invaded Ghana. But on a more serious note, I think the Nigerian Embassy in Ghana should ensure these boys are given the best possible representation in court, for this could be a false accusation, it has been known to happen before. And they remain innocent until proven guilty.
