Presbyterian Assembly says: Gay Marriage is Christian

This is unbelievable, but sadly it was bound to happen soon.

The Presbyterian Church has just voted to recognized same-sex marriage at the 221st General Assembly in Detroit, USA.

The top legislative body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has voted by large margins to recognize same-sex marriage as Christian in the church constitution, adding language that marriage can be the union of "two people," not just "a man and a woman."

They have also in effect voted that ministers can now preside at gay weddings in states where the unions are legal and local congregational leaders approve.

Nineteen states and the District of Columbia recognize same-sex marriage.

The votes, during the national meeting in Detroit were a sweeping victory of Presbyterian gay-rights advocates. In 2011, the denomination eliminated barriers to ordaining clergy with same-sex partners but ministers were still barred from celebrating gay marriages and risked church penalties for doing so.

The amendment has been viewed as “an answer to many prayers.” Alex McNill, excutive director of More Light Presbyterians, a gay advocacy group said.

My Take:
So let me get this right. God’s infallible words are now governed by the votes of men? Men now decide which of God’s word to obey and even the doctrines of the Church of Christ is now decided by votes?

Indeed we are in the End Times. Shocking and unbelievable, yet a sign of the end. The devil has indeed appeared as an angel of light and is deceiving men everywhere, even some parts of the church.

I rest my case.
