Brazil Fan dies of Heart Attack during Penalty Shoot-Out with Chile

A 69-year-old football fan suffered a heart attack and died during Brazil's tense penalty shootout against Chile.

The man was watching the end of the World Cup game at a bar inside the 62,000-seater Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte last night when he complained of feeling unwell.
He was taken to a hospital south of the city centre but died a short time later.

According to the Brazilian newspaper the victim was one of 98 people to receive medical attention during he second round fixture.

Around 60 of them were treated at their seats by staff on duty inside the stadium.
The match went to penalties as the South American teams were drawing 1-1 after 90 minutes.
A 50-year-old woman also suffered shock during the game while a 20-year-old fan had his nose broken after getting into a fight.

A 20-year-old was treated by paramedics after getting into argument with a rival Chile supporter.
In Bogota, a woman was reportedly killed by a stray bullet after supporters celebrated Colombia's victory over Uruguay.
Fans spilled out onto the street and began firing shots into the air after the side won 2-0, with two goals from striker James Rodriguez.

Brazil's striker Neymar sent the host nation through to the quarter finals after scoring his side's final penalty

I remember something Brazil Keeper said during the post match interview, Julio Cesar said, we will try and make sure we don’t allow another match to reach this kind of ending because we don’t want our family members to die of heart attacks. Wise words.
