Former
Bayelsa State governor, Chief Depreye Alamieyeseigha has vowed to persuade
President Goodluck Jonathan to seek reelection.
Alamieyeseigha,
who is a delegate to the ongoing National Conference said, Jonathan has done
well in office and therefore he should contest next year’s presidential
election in order to continue his good work.
He
also spoke on other issues, like resource control and insurgency in the North,
among others.
For
one, I didn't expect anything less from Alamieyeseigha and certainly not surprised about his comments. In
fact this shouldn't be news but am reporting it anyway.
