Death toll in Fresh Attack in Borno hits 100

It was reported Tuesday that Insurgents attacked three border communities with Cameroon in what is now been seen as a retaliatory one in the villages of Attagara, Agapalawa and Aganjara in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

So far, security sources revealed that at least 83 persons were killed in the attack, but residents of the area insists that about 100 persons were killed.

One of the residents of Maiduguri, who also lost his brother in the attack, told journalist anonymously that the armed men, dressed in military camouflage, drove into the three communities of Attagara, Agapalawa and Aganjara in military vehicles. Gathered the unsuspecting villagers and opened fire on them.

Gwoza is located on the south-east of Borno State and about 135 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital presently ravaged by Boko Haram insurgency.

This is another killing gone too far. How are these people able to obtain military uniforms and vehicles, who is really behind this wicked and senseless killings and why? Surely there is life after death and these people will surely give account for these evil.

So sad
